Abstract

The eyes are part of the five senses that function to capture surrounding information and send signals to the brain. One of the most common visual disorders is refractive errors, such as myopia. Genetic factors and reading habits under poor lighting conditions can influence myopia progression, especially among adolescents (10-19 years old). Blue light from electronic devices can exacerbate eye conditions. Anti-blue ray lenses can help reduce the negative impact of blue light. This study aims to determine the effect of education on purchasing decisions of anti-blue ray lenses among adolescent myopia sufferers at Optik RIKRIK Tangerang. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive analytic research design. The study sample consisted of 30 respondents selected using a simple random sampling method. The results show that education has a significant influence on the purchasing decision of anti-blue ray lenses, with a t-value (12.127) greater than the t-table value (2.0494), thus H1 is accepted. Effective education has been proven to increase consumer awareness regarding the benefits of anti-blue ray lenses.
