Abstract

The basis of the vertex distance is the position of the eyeglass frames on the wearer's face, having a different distance when viewed from the side between the back surface of the eyeglass lens and the front surface of the cornea. The vertex distance formed by the back surface of the correction lens and the front surface of the cornea will affect the effectiveness of the glasses. The purpose of the research to be achieved. The research method used is a quantitative method with a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling by determining the sample by selecting a sample among the population according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria desired by the researcher. Vertex distance measurement on ARO Leprindo students there are 9 groups of vertex distance sizes ranging from 10 mm to 18 mm. And most of the vertex distance sizes for ARO Leprindo students are 16 mm. Based on the results of this study, it turned out that no complaints were found from some of the existing deviations, for example the reduced effective power and prism effect on glasses. So the VD description found in Aro Leprindo students as well as the existing deviations did not find any significant complaints
