Gambaran Aktivitas Melihat Jarak Dekat Terhadap Kelainan Refraksi Miopia di SMP Charitas Tahun 2023

Myopia is a public health problem that is quite prominent and is the main cause of visual impairment in the world. Closed activities such as reading, watching television, playing video games, using the computer, and lighting can also influence the development of myopia. This study aims to determine the relationship between the habit of seeing at close range and myopia disorders at Charitas Middle School Lebak Bulus. This research method uses quantitative research methods, samples taken by purposive sampling with a descriptive approach. The number of samples is 58 people who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results of this study indicate that based on the identity of the respondents, the majority are female, namely 36 people (62%). Based on age, most were 13-14 years old, 44 people (76%), based on the first time using glasses, most were >2 years ago, 23 people (40%), based on length of use. glasses, namely > 1
year, 21 people (37%), based on the last time changing the size of glasses, namely > 1 year, 27 people (46%), based on a history of wearing glasses in the family, with a history of parents wearing glasses, 31 people (54%) , based on close-up activities, the most frequently carried out were reading books, novels (50%), using digital media (34%), based on the duration of the most closed activities 3-5 hours 33 people, and the longest activity 9-11 hours as many as 8 people, Based on the refractive status of students who experience myopia the most are 40 people (69%).
